Following the crinkum crankum at the Mechanic Village recently, the Landlords Association have apologized profoundly to Governor Rochas Okorocha for that incident. Here’s a statement from the Governors Chief Press secretary:
The governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has received with good heart the apology letter to him dated July 20, 2016 by the landlords of Orji Mechanic Village expressing their unreserved apology over what they termed the “senseless misconduct” of those they also described as “misguided persons” who had disguised as mechanics, artisans and members of the Orji Mechanic Village, when the governor visited the place.
The governor has accepted the apology and has equally directed the Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations, Engineer Kingsley Uju to schedule a meeting between him and the landlords’ of the Orji Mechanic Village, without delay.
In the apology letter signed by thirteen landlords including Chief Aloy Obilor and Dr. Nwogu E.C., Chairman and Secretary of the landlords’ Association respectively, the landlords pleaded with the governor to regard the provocative conduct in question as another case of recklessness by uninformed people.
The landlords also expressed their readiness and willingness to relocate the mechanic workshops to the New Avu Mechanic Village, but pleaded that their houses should be spared.
In accepting the apology of the landlords, the governor noted that all he is doing is in the overall interest of Imo people including generation yet unborn and reiterated his appeal to Imo people to always show understanding and appreciate the spirit with which he is working for the state and her people.
