His Excellency, the Executive Governor of the state, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has announced that his 53rd birthday celebration would be low-keyed.
The governor is at the moment pre-occupied with the task of ensuring that the laudable and lofty dream of his administration to industrialize the state to fight poverty among the Imo populace and provide jobs for the jobless in the state is realized.
Against the backdrop of this development, the governor has also decided to celebrate the 2015 edition of his birthday with the students of Rochas Foundation collage in Kano who also will be having their graduation ceremony.
Again, the birthday event that should have taken place on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 has also been postponed to Saturday, October 10, 2015, and would be embedded within the graduation programme of the Rochas Foundation College Kano. His Excellency has also regretted the inconveniences the postponement might have caused those who had planned to witness the event.
The Imo governor equally wishes to appreciate Imo indigenes and all those who have called to wish him happy birthday and he would also remain grateful to all those who have placed adverts in the media to felicitate with him on his 53rd birthday.
His Excellency prays that the good lord would bless all those who have decided to identify with him one way or the other on his 53rd birthday event.
Finally, the governor has asked those praying for him on this momentous period to also pray for both the state government and the federal government that God would make the impossible to be possible in the development and growth of the state and the nation.
Chief press secretary to the governor.
