Imo state Man O’ war pledges support for Okorocha’s re-election bid.

manowar-logo-0121Over 10,000 Officers and men of the Man O’ War across Imo State have pledged their unalloyed support to vote massively for the 2nd tenure bid of Governor Rochas Okorocha in the February 2015 elections so that he can consolidate his good works in the State.

This was made known when the Executives and officers and men of the Man O’ War Nig, Imo State Command came on solidarity visit at the Rochas Okorocha Campaign Organization, Owerri.

Addressing the group, the Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha said he was happy to identify with them and tasked them to help fish out kidnapers in their hideouts as well as assist other Security Agencies in the State to defend democracy by monitoring and ensuring that the oncoming elections maintain ‘one man one vote’, devoid of rigging; pointing out that government was doing everything to ensure peace and security especially in the election period.

Owelle Okorocha regretted the long neglect of Man O War by past governments but assured then that ‘the spirit of Man O War is back’ as he urged them not to relent in their efforts in maintaining law and order and transforming youths to prepare them for a better tomorrow.

Earlier, the Imo State Commander of Man O’ War Nig., Mr. Franklin Anyanwu said they came to add their voice to the rest of right thinking Imolites to officially endorse Governor Rochas Okorocha for a 2nd tenure in office. He explained that the command assists in traffic and crowd control, assists the Army, police and others in maintaining security, peace and orderliness at the grassroot as well as assist the Army in training NYSC members during orientation camps in the State.

Mr. Anyanwu who described Owelle Okorocha as a man after the heart of the Imolites and the grand Commander of free education, disclosed the Command’s readiness to give all their votes to ensure the continuity of the free education programme in Primary, Secondary and tertiary institutions of the State. ‘We are ready to take instructions from Owelle,’ he stated.
