A reliable source who spoke with IMO STATE BLOG on conditions of anonymity disclosed that Governor Rochas Okorocha was rushed to St. Mary’s Children & Community Hospital, Umuowa , Orlu where he received treatment. Contrary to news making rounds, Governor Okorocha’s head bone was not broken. It was only a minor laceration on his scalp around the forehead. The source further disclosed that Governor Okorocha who walked into the Hospital un-aided was stitched up by a team of three doctors (names witheld).
“…Clear details of what led to the accident not gotten but it is not life threatening. Just a deep cut on the forehead. Walked in and walked out. Wound has big bandage so local press is already assuming his head bone broke. No. It was only a glass cut.
He was in the front seat when the accident happened but he was conscious when he arrived here. He walked in by himself and talked with people before we took him into the theatre. Further details classified and not for press but, he is stable and discharged. ”
In a press briefing following his discharge, Gov Okorocha said he was stable and strong but, would seek further medical attention due to the level of impact the accident had on him.
