The Public servant’s daily guide in Politics – Joi John

POLITICS: THE PUBLIC SERVANT’S DAILY GUIDE

Always have it at the back of your mind that everything has an expiration date. Be good to those you meet on the way up so that when you come down crashing, they will offer their hands to catch you from falling.Take no one for granted.

MEDITATE IN YOUR QUIET TIME
What will the people remember me for? Can the people I serve vouch for my integrity in the time of tribulation? Will the books of history be kind to me? What can I do to mend fences and build strong relationships with the people looking up to me from the bottom of the ladder?

SEARCH YOUR CONSCIENCE DEEPER
Do I owe anyone? Is there someone who has been working for me and not gotten paid? Did I fire anyone who didn’t deserve the boot? Have i shown appreciation to those who helped me when in my time of need?

I have all it takes to get the attention of any Media house in the world but is there any media platform that has contributed in building my image that i have not been fair to? Have I sat on anyone’s file that deserves to be paid? How do the masses feel about me ? Have i served them whole-heartedly?

END WITH A SHORT PRAYER
Almighty creator, I acknowledge that you are the giver of power and can take it away at anytime without warning. Do not let me be put to shame. Help me be a better person with each passing day and chase away any contacts that will lead to my downfall. Amen.
