Na wa o. This is what Nigerian Horn is reporting:
“…..scoops have revealed to the Nigerian Horn, why the governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha may not want to fight in defence of his embattled deputy.
We gathered that Okorocha is not happy with the Agbasos for some moves reportedly made by the senior Agbaso to impeach him for his younger brother to take over Government House.
A reliable source that prefers anonymousity said that sometime last year, Sir Emeka Offor a frontline godfather who allegedly sponsored the Okorocha election invited Chief Martin Agbaso, the elder brother of the Deputy Governor to his house in Anambra State and complained to him how Okorocha had betrayed him after he had sponsored his election that removed his fellow Knight of the Anglican Communion, Chief Ikedi Ohakim. Offor said none of his agreements with Okorocha was kept.
According to the source Chief Martin Agbaso also expressed his own regrets and said that Okorocha has kept some of their agreements and abandoned some.
The source a decision maker in the Imo State House of Assembly went on to say that Sir Emeka Offor agreed to pay the sum of N500 million naira to remove Okorocha and immediately gave N100 million in dollars to kick start the process.
According to the source, there was an Hausa man who walked in towards the end of the discussion at Emeka Offor’s residence.
Still on the story, the source said that he went to see Okorocha in Government House after about four days and met the same Hausa man in the governor’s office.
Bewildered and surprised, our source said he became afraid that the Hausa men must have told Okorocha what transpired at Sir Emeka Offor’s house, four days ago and therefore decided to confess to Governor Okorocha who now came to be in the know about the trip he undertook with Chief Martin Agbaso to Emeka Offor’s house.
We were also told that Chief Agbaso went with Chief Emeka Offor to President Goodluck Jonathan who directed them to invite Imo PDP lawmakers to Abuja to meet Alhaji Bamanga Tukur for the allegedly removal of Okorocha where they were also accused of being given 50,000 dollars to remove Okorocha.
Our source said that because of these clandestine moves of Chief Martin Agbaso, Okorocha had since lost confidence in his brother Sir Jude Agbaso and has been looking for ways to drop him before the present contract scam which many believe was masterminded by the governor to set up his deputy.
Meanwhile the governor has been advised to pick either Sir Jude Ejiogu, Prince Eze Madumere, the current Chief of Staff or the Speaker Rt Hon. Ben Uwajumogu to replace the Deputy Governor Sir Jude Agbaso as soon as his office which we gather has been under lock is finally declared vacant.
