Impeachment axe dangles on Imo deputy governor, Jude Agbaso ?

This is what Nigerian Horn is reporting:

The days of the deputy governor of Imo State, Sir Jude Agbaso in officemay be numbered following his alleged involvement in a N450 contract scam.

If the findings of Nigerian Horn is anything to go by, then Sir Jude Agbaso stands to be impeached by the Imo House of Assembly this month over the usage of N450 million.

Nigerian Horn gathered that the Deputy Governor is being accused of paying upfront to Jebros Construction Company for a road project whereas the job was abandoned. A grapevine source said the Deputy governor, Sir Jude Agbaso has been making efforts to reach out to some members of the House to intercede on his behalf.

Meanwhile, a memo made available to IMOSTATEBLOG.com from the Imo House of Assembly denied plans to impeach the Deputy Governor. Even though the statement was careful not to mention the N450m in question, it  noted that the House was “ONLY investigating a case of corruption”  between Sir Jude Agbaso and Jebros Construction during the period which he was the Commissioner for Works.
