The Chairman of the Imo State PDP, Eze Duruiheoma, and the Chairman of Senate Committee on Aviation, Hope Uzodinma, disclosed this at a fundraising held at RockView Hotel, Owerri, Imo State, and attended by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Emeka Ihedioha.
Mr Duruiheoma said the mandate of the party was taken from it illegally by the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the state. He said they were consolidating and re-strategizing to take back the seat of power, noting that to achieve that, funds and more branded vehicles were needed.
According to him, most projects embarked upon by the Rochas Okorocha-led government were not impacting on the lives of Imo people.
Senator Uzodinma, in his contribution, said the party was in a hurry to reclaim its power, lamenting that “the rule of law” was not being observed by the state government.
Also present at the fundraising were the PDP National Women Leader, Kema Chikwe, Tony Ezenna, two former speakers of the Imo State House of Assembly, Kelechi Nwagwu and Goodluck Nana Opiah, Speaker, African Parliament, Bethel Amadi (Mbaitoli /Ikeduru), and the Director-General, National Sports Commission (NSC), Patrick Ekeji, among other legislators and top party members.
O setti ele!

PDP regrouping to take back power…….with their antecedents……they better take a seat……PDP as a party needs a transformation in the quality of its members…..if the same PDP of Ohakim with its bandwagon of many confused followers and misleaders think Imo State is ripe to be freshly assaulted again, they better think twice…….The Achike Udenwa maladministration came with an abracadabra style of governance, after eight years of resource wastage and clueless policies……Imo state people came out asking, where are the roads? the schools, hospitals, electricity, jobs and the answer was an underdeveloped state totally dependent on federal allocation without concrete projects or sustainable legacies…….then the famous you know who that cleaned and tricked the state……further bleeding our commonwealth dry and playing god…..well, his alanta dance during campagning alongside nollywood performances couldn’t convince voters from saying never! to a second term of trauma……and then with cutlass and holy anger, he found himself out leaving mischevious job appointments and other silly projects used by silly politicians to entice impoverished people. Now after suffering 12 years of disappointing governance, they believe they can force themselves down our throat in 2015 because we have all by chance suffered a sort of amnesia! Get a grip of your thoughts PDP! Transform yourselves and drop the empty containers and recycled old cargoes you have as members before you ask for a chance to rule us again, Get fresh ideologies that are progressive…..however,that transformation might go beyond 2015 and with the leopardish attitude you all have displayed, we sure dont believe you to change completely…..God bless Imo State!

PDP has some good people in that great party, for instance go to Rivers state and Akwa ibom state even Enugu state etc,all these states are governed by the PDP,so those ignoramuses calling PDP looters are politically blind! It’s no longer a party affair but how credible is their candidate/flag bearer, afterall owelle rochas will definitely return to PDP only time, time and just time…so when rochas returns,he will automatically become a “blood sucker”,”looter” and etc as all u ignoramuses are calling every PDP member such…even in apga we have the worst blood suckers!

This is perfectly normal politicking, so let us stop commenting ignorantly. All the same, I find it distasteful for a PDP chieftain to say this publicly (if he actually said it). They should keep their strategem to themselves. On the other hand, I agree that Owelle’s undoing may well be his high-handed style of governance – I seriously hope he can adjust in that area. Imolites, governance is not a one-man show. If Owelle does not build institutions he will soon be forced to exercise dictatorial powers to get anything done. We are not going to enjoy that at all. Remember that Adolf Hitler was greatly “loved” by the German people because he single-handedly turned the fortunes of the state. But at what cost – the loss of civil liberties, state-sponsored assasinations, forced labour, external aggression, ethnic cleansing and war! This is avoided in a plural democratic setting where even opposition can speak without being harrassed. Even on Facebook, opposition should be tolerated [and not somebody who doesn't know me from Adam telling me to shut up because I aired my view - how uncouth!].
“I dey optimistic, sha” that Owelle will listen to those arguing in favour of the rule of law, cos it’s for our collective good and will cement whatever good programmes he is running. God bless Imo State.

PDP Just take this candid advise from. DONT EvER DREAM of reclaiming Imo State again. I say this because Owelle has finally exposed the evils and hardship u people imposed them for yrs now. pls pdp should hide in shame and never to show any interest in any political post in Imo again. what they could not achieve in 12yrs plus, Owelle had achieved within one of yr of administration. Rochas we know.!

What has PDP left in Owerri government house that they in a hurry to go back and collect it. This their frustration is making me crazy. Imolites should watch it. If you watch their carriage these days, you must agree with me that the Party PDP has a hidden agenda, they should allow the governor to concentrate and serve Imo people. Other states we also have opposition, but is Imo State own trying to turn to, the eagle eyes are watching you PDP.

1979 when I was in the Air Force in Kaduna, they enjoyed free education and the government were begging people to go to school, a governor in imo state told the world in the year 2000 that education is not for poor people.Today the imolites are not only enjoying free education, they get pocket money, school bags and sandals. First of its kind in the history of Nigeria. What does the PDP really want in Imo state. are they ready to rule ? I do not really care weather a or c party rules Imo state or not, but the imolites should never be allowed to suffer the same way Abia state did under Kalu/s
