Once again, Governor Rochas Okorocha has assured Imolites in diaspora of adequate security for those returning for the Christmas celebratio
ns. According to this memo from the Honourable Commissioner for Information & Strategy, Mr.Chinedu Offor, His Excellency made the pledge in London during a meeting with Imo citizens in the British capital.
Gov. Okorocha stated that his administra
tion had significan tly reduced incidents of kidnapping and armed robbery through a robust twin strategy of deterrence and prevention of crimes.
“We will continue to go after criminals and homes of those who engage in these crimes will be pulled down and all businesses built from the proceeds of crime will be forfeited” he said.
He also mentioned that the state government had started building the Diaspora village adding that the project would make it easier for those living abroad to relocate and contribute to the developmen
t of the state.
Lastly, Governor Okorocha promised that all projects designed to transform the state into a modern state would be completed.
