Gov. Okorocha has applauded the involvement of Governors of Niger Delta states in the affairs of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC). The Governors of the nine Niger Delta states had met over the weekend to elect Dr. Emmanuel Uduagha as the Chairman, Advisory Body of NDDC.
Gov. Okorocha stated that the resolution was to complete all ongoing projects in the region first before shifting attention to power generation and construction of railway linking the Niger Delta states will boost inter-regional communication as other commercial activities.
He decried the activities of the previous management of NDDC and commended President Goodluck Jonathan for creating a forum of Niger Delta Governors to give a purposeful direction to management of the commission in the interest of the people of oil-producing states.
