It is said that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a step. Exactly one year ago today we took our first step on this public domain. It has been an eventful year. We appreciate every one of you who has supported and encouraged us.
To my mentor(s) who keep me grounded and in check, my profound gratitude goes to you.
I also thank the contributing writers who helped define the voice here on IMO STATE BLOG. Collectively, our voices have been heard and today, we are widely recognized as Nigeria’s first ever political blog focused on a State.
As we approached our one year anniversary , I had silently prayed that the Blog would reach a readership mark of 100,000 people (just for the heck of it). It pleased the good Lord to send us 4,000 bonus readers spanning across 193 countries and counting.
We may not have the recognition of the leading media outlets but in our own small way, we will continue doing our best in keeping citizens informed on the political affairs in our home state.
As we follow the governance of the Okorocha Administration, we should remember to lift up our Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha and his team in prayers. Where they go wrong, we will criticize. When they do well, we will applaud. May God continue to fish out any bad eggs that will be a stumbling block to our progress in Imo.
Lastly, for those kwa nu who send their thugs to disturb our sleep at odd hours of the night because of something we wrote, please note that we make it a point of duty to clarify anything scandalous before we post. Whereby you have fallen a victim here on our blog, please do not hesitate to reach out to us and set the record straight. It is not our intention to be disgracing people. Biko gbahara anyi. We are only doing our work.
Thank you and God bless!
