Governor Okorocha has denied any frosty relationship with his immediate predecessor, Chief Ikedi Ohakim.
Okorocha, who was speaking on his return from the Court of Appeal, Abuja, however, blamed some aides of the former governor for trying to inject bad blood between them.
Noting that he was not afraid of Chief Ohakim, Governor Okorocha equally appealed to politicians to resist temptation of overheating the polity.
He described the protracted legal battle instituted by the state Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, as “a spiritual battle that eventually ushered in light in the state.
“With my eventual victory at the nation’s apex court, the days of darkness in the Eastern Heartland has been brought to an end,” Okorocha boasted.
The governor said his victory started with the supplementary election and terminated at the Supreme Court, adding that God gives power to anybody he pleases.
He assured that Imo must be better and more prosperous during his administration, pointing out that “the period of senseless litigation slowed the hand of the clock.
“We will make up for the lost time during this long months of litigation through more meaningful achievement.

Frankly speaking, I will advise you “have problem with Ohakim”. You should drag him to court to vomit all the money he looted from the treasury of Imo State.
It is out of the money Ohakim normally budgeted for security that you saved N4 billion to give the people of Imo state free education. Till now, nobody has told us how much his security budget was, but if you could extract N4 billion from it, only God knows how much he was budgeting. And those were the years when Imo State was at the suffocating grip of kidnappers and armed robbers.
Ohakim deserves to be in prison by now.
