A group under the aegis of Voice of Imo people Organization (VIPO), yesterday, Thursday, February 9, 2012, has honoured Prince Eze Madumere KSC, with a Merit Award of Excellence in recognition of his immense contribution to the development in Orlu Local Government and Imo State in general.
The group led by Chief Barr. Gerald Okorie made their submission through their leader Barr. Okorie saying they are passing a strong vote of confidence on Prince Eze Madumere who they described as an adopted son of Orlu. “He is a man whom we have discovered to be passionate about the welfare of the people just as His Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha. Barr. Okororie maintained that the token honour they had given Prince Madumere was to encourage him to continue in the manner, which has attracted so much goodwill to him.
Prince Eze Madumere in his response thanked the members of Voice of Imo People Organization (VIPO) for the vote of confidence on him. He, however, enthused that the honour done to him by the group is dedicated to the Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha whom he described as the beckon of hope and the architect of all that is happening for the good of Imo people. He further assured the group that the present Government of Imo State means well and will stop at nothing to rescuing Imo totally form the curses of the past.
