Appreciating the Media Coverage team for the Operation Rescue Imo launch, Chief of Staff to the State Government, Prince Eze Madumere treated the crew to a lavish Lunch reception at his official residence.
In his remarks, Prince Madumere expressed his gratitude to the crew for their hardwork and teamwork throughout the 3-Hour live coverage event. The programme was was aired on NTA, AIT and Orient tv.
Also present at the Reception were Commisioner for Information, Dr. Obinna Duruji, Uche Ogbuagu (SA Entertainment) and, Liza Asumugha (SA Public Affairs)
Our source who was present at the Lunch reception stated that the Media team from Orient (Formerly Imo Broadcasting service) were full of encomiums for the Chief of Staff.
Speaking unanimously, the Orient tv staff members disclosed that their visit to Prince Madumere’s official residence was the first time they had stepped foot into the quarters.
“During Udenwa’s administration, the then Chief of Staff (name witheld) never for one day invited us to his house not to talk of eating with him on the same table. He will sit outside smoking his g_ _f and talk to us while we are outside the gate.
Chief of Staff for Ohakim, Emma Ohakim . . . the same thing. That one will not even look at you in the face when he is talking to you. But look at Prince Eze Madumere, very humble. ..He came out to the Stadium since 4:30 am to supervise the setup. We were very surprised to see him.
When he invited us to his house for the Lunch, we sat on the same table with him and ate the same food he ate. Our plate was the same. We were all relating with him like our brother. I have never seen such a person before.”
Hmmmm. Interesting to hear. Some people enter office and forget that everything has an expiration date. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 22 that “A good name is far better than riches”. See what we just read said about our undistinguished former chiefs . May God continue to purge us of arrogant leaders/ GOOF smokers and give us leaders with a listening ear who truly have the interest of the people at heart..
